Courseware Developer
Position Summary
The Courseware Developer designs and evaluates courseware to ensure alignment with organizational learning objectives. He/She collaborates with stakeholders to assess learning needs, design effective curriculum, and integrate emerging research and technologies. By analysing learner outcomes and course performance data, the Courseware Developer identifies improvement opportunities and ensures adherence to quality standards.
He/She also manages accreditation processes and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance and addressing performance issues. Analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented, the Courseware Developer is focused on creating impactful learning experiences and driving continuous courseware improvement.
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Assess learning needs

Facilitate conversations and/or conduct data collection to clarify and align intended learning outcomes, business priorities, and performance goals

Assess the client’s operating environment, industry trends, and job context to inform on relevance and application

Synthesize findings into an actionable learning needs analysis report
Drive innovation and research

Monitor emerging research trends and methodologies

Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods to explore relevant learning hypotheses or challenges

Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for curriculum design and learning innovation

Identify opportunities to enhance the curriculum or learning experience
Design curriculum and courseware materials

Design courseware that align with curriculum objectives, assessment requirements, client goals, and learner goals
-
Select appropriate delivery modes and learning technologies to meet objectives
-
Develop courseware materials that align with curriculum objectives and assessment requirements
-
Define assessment strategies and criteria and create content for assessments based on curriculum goals
-
Brief delivery and support team to ensure consistency and alignment with curriculum intent
-
Maintain organised, version-controlled courseware and documentation to support smooth delivery, handover, and audit-readiness
Manage accreditation and certification processes
-
Stay updated on accreditation and certification standards and policies to ensure courseware alignment
-
Research and identify certification opportunities to strengthen credibility and value of offerings
-
Ensure courseware and assessments comply with quality assurance standards and external regulatory requirements

Implement and document quality assurance processes to align with internal and external regulatory requirements

Maintain audit-ready records to support accreditation submissions, renewals and compliance reviews
-
Collaborate with internal teams and external bodies to meet accreditation and certification criteria
Evaluate Curriculum Effectiveness

Collect feedback from stakeholders

Review outcomes to identify learning gaps and trends

Conduct regular curriculum reviews to ensure currency, effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards

Report findings and recommend improvements to guide design iterations and decision-making

Qualifications, Experience & Qualities

Experience in curriculum design, education, or learning & development
-
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning management systems

Detail-oriented, organised, and quality-focused

Collaborative team player who works well independently
-
Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines is a bonus
