IT Consultant

      Position Summary

      IT Consultant is responsible for maintaining tech systems and implementing tech solutions to cater to the needs of the users and company at large. He/She is able to communicate well with staff and clients to understand their business needs, as well as educate them to be able to maximise the use of technology for efficiency and productivity.

      He/She possesses empathy and creativity to allow him/her to effectively serve both internal and external customers. He/She is able to clearly define user requirements and able to prescribe what tech solution to implement that is customer centric first and tech advance next.

      The IT Consultant will be responsible for the following:

      Lead learning technology and systems integration

      • Conduct research to identify emerging learning technology and system application across the industry
      • Assess technology integration and digital innovation opportunities across the organisation
      • Develop a consistent user experience and interface across the organisation's learning technology platforms and systems
      • Develop the solution implementation plan including UAT, integration testing, change management for specific module
      • Establish processes for hardware and software acquisition across the organisation
      • Manage technical issues faced during systems integration across the organisation


      Manage learning technology and systems performance and support

      • Establish procedures to maintain services levels across the organisation's learning technology
      • Implement policies to manage data and system security across the organisation
      • Organise system activities including planned maintenance, system back-up and disaster recovery drills across the organisation's learning technology and systems
      • Manage infrastructure operations and incidents across the organisation's learning technology and systems
      • Manage service performance issues and user queries across the organisation's learning technology and systems
      • Create materials and programmes to train staff on use of learning technology and systems

      Conduct data measurement and analysis

      • Deploy tools to conduct data analyses across the organisation

      Manage Stakeholder & Vendors

      • Implement stakeholder management strategies to drive collaboration
      • Manage contractual and performance issues with existing vendors


      The ideal candidate should possess:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field or Degree level education from an accredited institution
      • 2-3 years’ experience in tech management, data management or related field
      • Knowledge of Salesforce would be a strong plus
      • Possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
      • Good understanding of technology sector especially infrastructure, cyber security, application, business transformation
      • Good verbal and written communication skills and effectively to all levels of employees and management
      • Able to analyse and resolve problems in a timely manner
      • Able to exercise effective judgment, evaluate and recommend changes to existing processes and procedures for greater effect
      • Systematically sees big picture, yet is detail-oriented and delivers work that is of a high standard
      • Able to understand users’ experience and design interface focused on users’ needs
      • Open to new ideas, technology and unexplored markets, and adapts to industry changes
