Values-Based Design Philosophy
ROHEI has a design philosophy. Our design philosophy is founded on the belief that every participant deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, that every participant matters, is worth training and has the potential to be positively impacted and to make a positive impact.

ROHEI's 10 Program
Design Principles:
ROHEI's developmental interventions are created based on learning principles (like Knowles' andragogy concepts and Mezirow's reflective learning strategies) which are translated into ROHEI's 10 Program Design Principles.
The level of understanding and role playing were important points during the program. I particularly like the "reflection" part. Forces the participants to articulate their thoughts.
- Each individual learns differently; different learning styles respond to different stimuli when internalizing information
- Learning is most effective and effortless when one is relaxed; learning should be fun!
- One's experiences, both in success and in error, are the basis for learning
- Learning is most effective and sustainable when they involve both the cognitive and emotional parts of the person
- Multi-sense learning creates one of the most effective learning environments for adult learners
- To increase learning effectiveness, learning must be relevant to the learner's current situation, whether in their personal, social or work lives
- Most adults learn on a "need to
know basis"
- Adult learning motivators are more inward-focused rather than external
- Adults learn better when the content is problem-centered (rather than content-oriented)
- Build on participant's experiences where possible; adult learners have past experiences that they tend to peg new learning to

Resident Expertise
ROHEI's developers, trainers and facilitators bring with them experience from various disciplines. Everyone's skills have been dovetailed to the design, development and delivery process to ensure that the final product exceeds the sum of individual efforts.
Good flow of programs. Clear & creative ways in which the concept was brought to us & helped us internalize.

Focus on the Holistic Learning Process
A relaxed environment with tasks that reinforce clearly the values that are being driven by the program. The group interaction improved dramatically due to ease with the group and by slowly getting involved in a positive way. Enjoyed getting to know my colleagues in a different environment.
At ROHEI, we believe that learning is a holistic process impacting the spirit, soul and body. We regard learning as an experience that starts before the training program begins and which continues long after the program has ended.
To that end, we have taken into account different factors that impact the learning experience:
Approaching Learning
as a journey
We see learning as a journey that begins from the time a participant signs up for a program right through to their becoming confident in applying their knowledge and skills. Multiple touchpoints are designed throughout the entire process to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Creating Learning Landscapes
Apart from the content and the delivery, the "look and feel" of the learning environment plays a significant role in raising the degree of openness a participant feels about the learning and also enhances learning effectiveness.
Use of Reality-Based Experiences
We create different activities to model reality-based experiences. These experiences may include the use of videos or actual simulations to mirror reality. This allows participants to not only be immersed in their learning, but also provide opportunities for immediate application of learning and feedback.
